again taken to the streets to protest against cuts to their medical benefits.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They gathered on Wednesday for a second time in Wuhan, where Covid was first detected, and also in the north-eastern city of Dalian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second round of protests in seven days puts pressure on President Xi Jinping&#8217;s administration just weeks before the annual National People&#8217;s Congress, which will usher in a new leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Protests first took place in Wuhan on 8 February after provincial authorities said they were cutting the level of medical expenses which retirees can claim back from the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Social media footage shows the protesters to be largely elderly retirees, who say this comes at a time of soaring healthcare costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although such health insurance matters are handled at a provincial level, protests have spread to different parts of the country in what appears to be a renewed belief in the power of demonstrating in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e2d\u56fd\u5927\u6279\u9000\u4f11\u4eba\u5458\u518d\u6b21\u8d70\u4e0a\u8857\u5934\u6297\u8bae\u524a\u51cf\u533b\u7597\u798f\u5229\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4ed6\u4eec\u4e8e13\u65e5\u5728\u9996\u6b21\u53d1\u73b0\u65b0\u51a0\u80ba\u708e\u7684\u6b66\u6c49\u548c\u4e1c\u5317\u90e8\u57ce\u5e02\u5927\u8fde\u7b49\u5730\u7b2c\u4e8c\u6b21\u805a\u96c6\u5728\u4e00\u8d77\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u4e03\u5929\u540e\u7684\u7b2c\u4e8c\u8f6e\u6297\u8bae\u7ed9\u4e60\u8fd1\u5e73\u4e3b\u5e2d\u7684\u653f\u5e9c\u5e26\u6765\u4e86\u538b\u529b\uff0c\u800c\u65b0\u4e00\u5c4a\u5168\u56fd\u4eba\u6c11\u4ee3\u8868\u5927\u4f1a\u5373\u5c06\u53ec\u5f00\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2\u67088\u65e5\uff0c\u6b66\u6c49\u9996\u6b21\u53d1\u751f\u6297\u8bae\u6d3b\u52a8\uff0c\u6b64\u524d\u7701\u5f53\u5c40\u8868\u793a\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u6b63\u5728\u524a\u51cf\u9000\u4f11\u4eba\u5458\u53ef\u4ee5\u5411\u653f\u5e9c\u62a5\u9500\u7684\u533b\u7597\u8d39\u7528\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u793e\u4ea4\u5a92\u4f53\u89c6\u9891\u663e\u793a\uff0c\u6297\u8bae\u8005\u5927\u591a\u662f\u9000\u4f11\u8001\u4eba\uff0c\u4ed6\u4eec\u8bf4\uff0c\u8fd9\u662f\u5728\u533b\u7597\u8d39\u7528\u98d9\u5347\u7684\u65f6\u5019\u53d1\u751f\u7684\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u867d\u7136\u8fd9\u4e9b\u5065\u5eb7\u4fdd\u9669\u95ee\u9898\u662f\u5728\u7701\u4e00\u7ea7\u5904\u7406\u7684\uff0c\u4f46\u6297\u8bae\u6d3b\u52a8\u5df2\u7ecf\u8513\u5ef6\u5230\u5168\u56fd\u5404\u5730\uff0c\u8fd9\u4f3c\u4e4e\u662f\u5bf9\u4e2d\u56fd\u793a\u5a01\u529b\u91cf\u7684\u4e00\u79cd\u91cd\u65b0\u8ba4\u8bc6\u3002<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Elderly
