It said this was part of a bid\u00a0to foster &#8220;healthy and orderly exchanges&#8221; with Beijing amid continued tension in the region.\u00a0 Taiwan\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dw.com\/en\/china-vs-taiwan-controversy-over-flight-route-m503\/a-42430594\">currently allows air access<\/a>\u00a0to only four cities in China, namely Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, and Xiamen.
